Expect a response to your submission in 8-12 weeks. Occasionally, wait times may be longer. We will respond with a “received” once we have opened your submission. If 90 days pass, and we have not acknowledged receipt of your submission, please re-send your material as some submissions might end up in our spam folder. If you have not received a request for more material after 90 days, and we have acknowledged receipt of your proposal, unfortunately we did not find your project to be a fit with us.
Tip: 95% of the author’s I represent were signed after they pitched to me in person at a writer’s conference or as a result of a referral from an existing client. Although I review email queries, face-to-face pitches get faster responses as do recommendations from current clients.
