Jennifer Bleakley

Jennifer BleakleyJennifer Bleakley’s love of the written word began with a coffee pot. As a shy young girl, she found it hard to verbally communicate what was in her heart. Her perceptive father began writing notes to her and leaving them in front of the coffee pot for her to find in the morning. Jen took great delight in replying to her dad—leaving her own notes for him to find in the morning. Thus began their “coffee pot chronicles.” Since placing her trust in Jesus at the age of six, Jen has loved reading, teaching, and sharing with others the hope found in God’s Word.

Jen draws from her experience as a mother and former grief counselor to write stories of hope, which families can enjoy together. Her first book—the true story of a horse who led people to see hope— is slated for a Summer 2018 release by Tyndale House Publishers. Jen is a contributing author for Treasuring Christ Curriculum, a Gospel centered church curriculum for children ages 2-18. She also writes preschool curriculum and online devotionals for her local church, leads a women’s Bible study, contributes regularly for She Believes Online Bible Studies, and blogs regularly at about glimpsing God’s extraordinary grace in the midst of her ordinary life.

Jen holds a M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, and was honored to work for several years as a child and family grief counselor with Suncoast Hospice in Florida. When Jen is not typing away on her beaten-up computer, you can find her hanging out with her super talented software engineer/wood-worker husband and two rapidly growing children, chasing after their new puppy, or sitting in carline. If you cannot find her there, she is most likely buried under a pile of laundry daydreaming of the beach.
